Garden of the Gods Club Wedding with Idalia & Eddie

What a great way to start the Spring wedding season with this great couple’s wedding at the Garden of the Gods Club. As always, the view is like no other in the Colorado Springs area, but having a great couple to share their wedding day with makes it even more amazing! Idalia and Eddie chose Colorado Springs for their destination wedding and everyone who attended came from out of town. For some of them it was their first time visiting Colorado! Sarah Viera from Sarah Viera Events was the wedding coordinator who added wonderful flair to the decor and helped make the day run smoothly and Liz Ash from Ambiance Floral made amazing floral bouquets.

Idalia had such a beautiful wedding dress and her mom had made a “something blue” to sew within it. Her sister was her maid of honor and wore a spectacular fuchsia colored dress. One of my favorite moments was when Idalia saw her father for the first time and the tears they both shared. Such a beautiful moment!

During the ceremony they performed a Lazo. A Lazo is a piece of tied rope which can be made from many different things. Idalia and Eddie’s was a rosary. They can be made from something as simple as a ribbon, crystals, satin or wreath of flower blossoms. The Lazo symbolically joins the bride and groom. After the ceremony usually family members place it around the necks of the couple  in a figure 8. Such a wonderful custom!

A wedding isn’t a wedding without a party! Idalia and Eddie had a bunch of wedding guests who jammed the dance floor. Thanks to Rob, of FUNction Pro DJ for the great reception.
