Colorado Springs | A Glamorous Boudoir Session | Ms. K

A glamorous boudoir session is a wonderful opportunity to be free in front of a camera. It is a time to get pampered with a makeover, look your best and get glamorous pictures of yourself.  I will speak for myself but, also for many of the women I see come through my studio that we often have difficulty truly loving ourselves and our bodies.  However, when you finally give yourself some attention and focus on you, the love is there.

 

 

I know the power of  these shoots. I did one myself and so I know how it feels to be on the other side of the camera. Many people are scared away, thinking boudoir means showing lots of skin and is not for them.  But what about glamour? Glamour is also a transforming experience, it is showing off how beautiful everyone else sees you. It is being a vogue model because you can be.  In the case of Ms. K we did a little of both. She had recently survived a heart attack and this was something extra special to her.

 

So man women go into the studio with some trepidation and come out looking like they had just climbed a mountain. Not because they are windblown and sun burned but, because of the radiance and accomplishment on their faces.  I have women cry, smile and hug me for the experience alone and then again when the see their photos. It is so rewarding.

 

I know how beautiful and free the women feel after the experience, even though most have never done anything like it. I know Ms. K was in love with her hair and makeup by Kim who does professional hair and makeup.   She was such a joyous free spirit and I am so glad she came in to do this session with us.
